Upcoming Events & Recent Accomplishments…

Before we get into the exciting month of October, we have to recap on the lovely September we had at IBIM:

  • In September, we launched of our 10-month mentoring and leadership development program! Our program is now full of an array of vast bright and shining stars.

  • We kicked things off with a meet and greet and yummy Ice Cream Social for the girls of IBIM.

  • Coming up in October, Shock Trauma will be hosting a “Stop the Bleed” workshop for our preteens and teens, which will help prepare them for emergencies.

  • Save the Date! On October 27th IBIM will enjoy a private screening of the film, “The Hate U Give”! Looking forward to seeing you there!

  • Looking ahead to November, IBIM presents “50 Meals for 50 Families”! Look out for next month’s newsletter for more details!

Approach this upcoming month of October with A “WINNER” MENTALITY! There is a quote that says, “winners focus on winning; losers focus on the winner!” Being a winner means focusing in on your goals and your future. Never look at the next person and compare them to your path to success! Never feel as if you are behind on your progression; everyone’s journey does not happen at the same rate! Have tunnel vision when it comes to your aspirations and what you want to achieve! WINNERS FOCUS ON WINNING!

Kennedy is an inaugural member of IBIM, an aspiring entrepreneur and academic honor student attending Redeemer Classical Christian School. With aspirations of obtaining a Juris Doctorate, Kennedy is planning to become a circuit court judge or higher. Since the age of 6 years old, she has encouragingly spoken of this dream. At the age of 12 years old, Kennedy had the opportunity to shadow a mentoring Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge. Kennedy is as athletic as she is scholarly. She is preparing for her third year as a member of the Baltimore Elite Volleyball club, and is currently a second-year starting varsity volleyball player for her school. While in the 8th grade, Kennedy was scouted to be a varsity player for high school volleyball! This summer, Kennedy, with her dad’s help, opened her own snowball stand and learned customer service skills, and the savvy of a small business owner such as cost control, product procurement, supply and demand, and bookkeeping! Shoutout to Kennedy from IBIM!
